What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity.
We believe there is only one God. ( Deuteronomy 6:4)
We believe in baptism in Jesus name and the recieving of the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)
We believe that by God’s grace, we can have a brand-new life in Christ. “If any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Our Ministries
NLCC provides a dynamic Youth Program that allows youth to experience the fullness of Christ. We love our young people and offer a supportive and non threatening atmosphere where they can excel. They can participate in monthly Youth Bible Studies, an annual Youth Retreat as well as a multitude of activities both in and out of the Church, including community volunteering, that allows them to just “hang out” with one another in Christian fellowship. Our youth are on fire for the Lord!
Christian Education is a critical part of this Ministry. We offer weekly Sunday School and Bible Study classes that are structured to teach and awaken a thirst for the love of God’s word. Classes begin at age four through adulthood. Our Sunday School department is based on Proverbs 22:6. During the summer we offer an exciting multi-faceted Vacation Bible School. All are welcome to any of our Christian Education programs.
Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed Sisters (DIVAS) is the women’s ministry at NLCC. Women are an integral part of this ministry. We offer a spiritually supportive environment that allows women to achieve success in their daily lives through the teachings of Christ. The DIVAS ministry offers a full range of women’s programs such as Women’s prayer and Bible Study, Matters of the Heart discussion group, an annual conference, community support services and various outings and activities. We welcome all women to come out and join this ministry.
NLCC is dedicated to improving the lives of men through the word of God and practical teachings. We offer a Men’s Bible study to increase their spiritual awareness for their role in the Church, their families and daily lives. Ongoing fellowship among the men is an important aspect of this ministry and men participate in various activities throughout the year. We reach out to all men and welcome them into the fellowship of God.
We praise the Lord at NLCC! NLCC’s Performing arts ministry offers young and old alike an opportunity to praise the Lord by interpreting the Word using movement for edification, praise and worship, and deliverance. Our youngest praisers start at four years old and go thru adulthood. Our preforming arts ministry consists of Praise Dance, Flag and Banner, and Mime. We also have a teen/young people’s step team known as New Life Steppers. This ministry strives to fulfill the Lords Abundant Assignment using dance as their weapon. NLCC is dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. We support the local women’s shelter, families and children with our back to school supplies initiative, Thanksgiving Baskets and providing food and household items to families in need through our nonprofit organization Positive Influence Empowerment (P.I.E.) Foundation. If you have a giving heart and a love for others, please join this ministry.
